As part of the fight against fraud, the National Coordination for the Fight against Fraud (CNLF) seized a large batch of prohibited products estimated at 500 million CFA francs.

According to the national coordinator, Songuida Valentin Rayaissé, two teams supported by elements of the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) were designated for a search and a home visit which led to ten stores in which prohibited products were stored.

Cyanide, rolls of explosive wire, amphetamines, drugs and contraband cigarettes were found there.
Thus, the teams on mission presented a total seizure of 1,297 packages of amphetamines and pharmaceutical products weighing 18,560 kg; 44 packages of cyanide weighing 2,200 kg; 45 parcels of smuggled cigarettes, i.e. 1,631 cartridges weighing an estimated 500 kg; two drug packages (Tafrodol caps and Tramadol); a package of explosives wire.

For the national coordinator for the fight against fraud, this seizure by his teams is estimated at 500 million CFA francs with a total weight of 21,260 kg.
