During its plenary session, on May 4, 2021, the National Assembly unanimously adopted two bills, one of which concerns the financing of the project for the harmonization of statistics in West Africa and the another on the partial financing of the inclusive finance promotion project.

The 117 deputies present said ''yes'' to the adoption of bills on the financing of the project for the harmonization of statistics in West Africa and on the partial financing of the project to promote inclusive finance. For the first project, the deputies gave their discharge to the government to ratify the financing agreement for an amount of 33 billion dollars, including 16.5 billion in the form of a loan and as much in the form of a donation with the International Development Association (IDA). According to the Minister of Economy, Finance and Development, Lassané Kaboré, this project will improve the quality of the statistics necessary for steering development in Burkina Faso.

The Inclusive Finance Promotion Project for access of low-income populations to financial services in Burkina Faso (PPFIB) tranche 2 is supported by the National Fund for Inclusive Finance (FONAFI) with funding from the West African Bank of development (BOAD). Its objective is to contribute to improving the socio-economic conditions of grassroots populations. The Minister Delegate in charge of Territorial Development, Pauline Zouré, explained that this project is a structural response to the difficulties of access to credit by women, young people in rural areas and people with disabilities.
