The Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) maintained strong stock market transactions at the end of the week. It recorded transactions amounting to 2.246 billion CFA francs against 2.405 billion CFA francs the day before.

The trend of strong transactions carried out at the BRVM, which began on May 20, 2021, continued at the end of the listing day of Friday, May 21, 2021. The total value of transactions thus stood at 2.246 billion CFA francs against 2.405 billion CFA francs the day before. This increase in transactions is caused by those carried out on the bond market. On this sub-fund, the value traded was 1.789 billion FCFA (against 1.969 billion FCFA the day before), while that operated on shares stands at 456.564 million FCFA (against 436.820 million the day before).
On the index side, the improvement continues. The BRVM 10 index (the index of the 10 flagship stocks of the Stock Exchange) gained another 1.69% to 131.27 points against 129.09 points the day before. The BRVM Composite Index (the general index of the Stock Exchange) gained 0.91% to 153.70 points against 152.31 points previously.

The market capitalization of the equity market recorded an increase of 41.9 billion FCFA to 4625.521 billion FCFA against 4583.621 billion FCFA the day before. That of the bond market stood at 6564.420 billion FCFA against 6583.676 billion FCFA the day before, a decrease of 19.256 billion FCFA.

The TOP 5 of the largest price increases is occupied respectively by the following stocks: SITAB (+7.38% to 2,620 FCFA), Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.35% to 2,555 FCFA), Air Liquide Côte d'Ivoire (+7.35% to 365 FCFA), Palm Côte d'Ivoire (+6.10% to 4,350 FCFA) and BICICI (+4.44% to 5,640 FCFA). The Flop 5 of the largest price declines is respectively occupied by the following stocks: Oragroup Togo (minus 6.67% to 3,710 FCFA), Servair Abidjan (minus 3.83% to 1,005 FCFA), NEI CEDA Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.33% to 290 FCFA), BOA Mali (minus 3.08% to 1,260 FCFA) and Coris Bank International (minus 2.50% to 7,800 FCFA).
