Enko Capital West Africa, the subsidiary of asset manager Enko Capital based in London and Johannesburg, has obtained its approval as an SGO (OPCVM management company) in the UEMOA space.

The sesame, issued at the end of July by the CREPMF, the financial market regulator of the zone, will therefore allow Enko Capital West Africa to intervene on the market of managers of OCPVM (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities), made up of SICAVs (Investment companies with variable capital) and FCPs (mutual funds).

An arrival which, with the "new cash" expected due to fundraising from investors, should give a boost to a BRVM market in poor shape. According to some financial analysts, Enko Capital West Africa, based in Abidjan, has chosen a good timing in view of the inevitable rebound of the BRVM which will eventually happen.
