The Société ivoirienne de câbles (Sicable CI, code CABC), listed on the BRVM, recorded profits up by 528.706 million FCFA (793,059 euros) at the end of the 2020 financial year compared to the previous year. The Sicable CI (CABC) stock, down -3.48% on the March 15 session, is on an annual upward trend of 38%.

The profit of Sicable CI, a member of the Prysmian Group, world leader in electrical cables, saw a strong increase of 528.706 million FCFA and stood at 1.166 billion FCFA against 637.951 million FCFA at 31 December 2019, an increase of 82.87%.

According to the company's managers, the company's turnover stood at 18.898 billion FCFA against 15.200 billion FCFA in 2019, up 24%.

Regarding expenses, purchases of related materials and supplies increased by 751 million CFA francs, to 6.393 billion CFA francs against 5.642 billion CFA francs in 2019.

On the other side, there was an increase of 20.584 million CFA francs to 699.992 million CFA francs. Value added increased sharply by 57.12%, from CFAF 2.118 billion in 2019 to CFAF 3.328 billion a year later. While personnel expenses stood at 1.134 billion FCFA against 1.061 billion FCFA at 31 December 2019 (+6.88%). This company "will continue to develop its projects activity in Côte d'Ivoire and consolidate its position in the energy infrastructure sector", say the leaders of Sicable in terms of prospects, for the 2021 financial year.
