Following the interruption of the process of appointing a new Managing Director launched in 2020 by the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC) has just launched a call for applications for the appointment of a new Director General. Only nationals of the countries of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) who meet the criteria laid down in the management of high finance published in the press release of the bank.
The expected change comes following the interruption of the process of appointing a new Director General launched in 2020 by the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) in its capacity as Sole Depositary of the BVMAC until 2022 in accordance with the decision of the CEMAC Heads of State unifying the regional market expected an interim period until the end of 2019.
The current process is for the appointment of a new officer in accordance with the regulations. The current DG, also former Director General of the DSX, is only acting head of the regional stock exchange.
