The State of Côte d'Ivoire, through its General Directorate of Treasury and Public Accounting, raised on December 29, 2020 an amount of 108.500 billion FCFA (162.750 million euros) on the financial market of the Union. West African Monetary Fund (WAMU) at the end of its simultaneous issue by auction of assimilable treasury bills (BAT) with maturities of 84 days, 182 days and 351 days.

Out of a total amount of 105 billion FCFA put up for auction, the issuer ended up with 173.514 billion FCFA of total bids made by investors, ie a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction of 165.25%.

Of the amount of the bids, the Ivorian public treasury withheld 108.500 billion FCFA and rejected the remaining 65.014 billion FCFA, representing an absorption rate of 62.53%.

These retained resources are intended to cover the financing needs of the State budget of Côte d'Ivoire.

The weighted average rate is respectively 2.83%, 0% and 4.31% for BAT maturities of 84 days, 182 days and 351 days. On the other hand, the marginal rate stood respectively at 3.05%, 0% and 4.40% for BAT with maturities of 84 days, 182 days and 351 days.

Regarding the weighted average return, it stood at 2.88%, 0% and 4.51% for BAT with maturities of 84 days, 182 days and 351 days.

The redemption of the vouchers issued will take place on the first working day following the due date set at March 23, 2021 for BAT at 84 days, June 29, 2021 for BAT at 182 days and December 15, 2021 for BAT at 351 days. .

On the other hand, for all these securities, interest is payable in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the bonds, which is one million FCFA.
