The WB experts will take stock of the actions carried out at a meeting next week.

The objective of these regular meetings is to assess the impacts of the programme as well as possible and readjust it, if necessary.

Launched eight years ago, the FSAP has directly benefited more than 150,000 farmers, 80,000 pastoralists and 4,700 fishermen.

The initiative has also fostered the emergence of a small agricultural processing industry and more generally of entrepreneurship in rural areas.

It has also made it possible to revitalize the cotton, coffee, cocoa, rice, cassava , honey, groundnut, soybean and pineapple sectors as well as fisheries production (inland fisheries and fish farming).
