This Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Ministry of Finance, the Beninese government and the European Union signed three financing agreements.

These three agreements were signed as part of the new Multiannual Indicative Program (PIM 2021-2027) of cooperation with the European Union (EU) with a total cost of 50,500,000 Euros. They aim to support the implementation of the Government Action Program (PAG II) 2021-2026 through three projects and programs. These are the support project for entrepreneurship with a total cost of 33,500.000,00 Euros and financed by the EU (8,500,000 Euros) and AFD (25,000,000 Euros); the Program to promote sustainable energy in Benin through solar solutions and clean, energy efficient and environmentally responsible cooking at a total cost of 5.000,000 Euros and financed by the EU (4,000,000 Euros) and GIZ (1,000,000 Euros) and the Program to support the management of the Mono Delta Biosphere Reserve and the development of the bouche du Roy marine protected area at a total cost of 12.000,000 Euros financed by the EU.
