Africa Jutes Industries, a company specializing in the processing of agricultural products, officially becomes the 30th company to invest in Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) in providing nearly one (1) billion CFA francs (approximately 1.5 million euros),

Established in Benin and Niger, Africa Jutes Bags is one of the entities of the multinational Africa Negoce Industrie. It will install a jute bag production group with an annual production capacity of 25 (twenty-five) million bags of jute in GDIZ over an area of 2 (two) hectares. The unit will significantly reduce West Africa's dependence on jute bags imported from Asia and create more than 1000 (thousand) direct and indirect jobs in Benin. This agreement attests to the confidence that local and international investors place in GDIZ, which “will become a key player in the production of packaging Made in Benin that is biodegradable, recyclable and suitable for the agricultural sector nationally and internationally”, according to Mr. Lé. Tondji BEHETON, CEO SIPI-BENIN SA.
