Last Friday, twenty-seven (27) individuals were arrested by the elements of the police station of Agblangandan, in the commune of Sèmè-kpodji.

They are suspected of cybercrime. The departmental directorate of the Ouémé Republican Police reports that the search carried out in the apartments of the building where they were staying led to the seizure of thirty-one (31) laptops, thirty-two (32) cell phones, twenty-nine (29) of which were Android. The phones, according to the police, contained compromising information. In addition to the computers and cell phones, seven (07) Wifi routers, passports, a lot of computer accessories, several bank cards and sim cards of GSM networks present in Benin. The twenty-seven individuals, it is learned, will be presented to the judicial authorities to answer for offenses related to cybercrime. Investigations are continuing to this effect.
