The 19 alleged cybercriminals were arrested during two interventions on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in districts of the commune of Sèmè-Podji. These apprehended individuals will be presented to the Prosecutor in the coming days.

The first intervention carried out by the Aglangandan district police station allowed the officers to get their hands on 06 suspected cybercriminals while the second operation ended with 13 arrests in the Glogbo district. At the home of the first six, 13 laptops, 10 phones including 08 androids and 02 keypads, 03 WiFi modems, 07 bank cards, 14 sim pads of different networks and other accessories were found. The second intervention was a search of the homes of the other 13 alleged cybercriminals. At the scene, the agents discovered 09 laptops, 17 mobile phones including 11 Android and 6 keystrokes, 02 WiFi modems, 09 bank cards and an amount of twenty-six thousand (26,000 Nairas) then eleven thousand two hundred and fifty (11,250 FCFA).
