The profit of Bank Of Africa (BOA) Benin, a subsidiary of the banking group of the same name, will pay on May 15, 2020 to its shareholders, for the 2019 financial year, a global net dividend of 8.783 billion FCFA (13.175 million euros), announced the leaders of this bank based in Cotonou.

Compared to the 20,145,360 shares that make up the bank's capital, this corresponds to a net dividend per share of 436 FCFA per share of 1,000 FCFA against 416 FCFA in 2018.  This level of dividend represents 43.6% of the nominal of the bank's share against 41.6% in 2018.

At the end of the 2019 financial year, BOA Benin achieved an after-tax profit of 15.001 billion FCFA against 12.724 billion FCFA in 2018, an increase of 17.89%.

After taking into account the previous carry-over of CFAF 541.237 million, the total amount to be distributed amounted to CFAF 15.543 billion. Of this amount, the Board of Directors of BOA Benin will propose to the ordinary general meeting of shareholders on April 1, 2020 to allocate 2.250 billion FCFA to legal reserves (i.e. 15% of net profit), CFAF 9.308 billion in gross dividends and CFAF 3.500 billion in the optional reserve.
