The Central Bank of Egypt (ECB) maintained its main interest rates unchanged, with an overnight deposit rate of 21%, an overnight loan rate of 22% and a transaction rate main of 21.5%. The discount rate also remains fixed at 21.5%.

The committee said in a statement that the decision of keeping the interest rate unchanged reflects his assessment of the latest inflation developments and forecasts since its previous meeting.
