Access Bank Cameroon officially launched the whole thing first Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton from Cameroon at the Best Western Hotel in Douala. He is a groundbreaking initiative that aims to empower women entrepreneurs and to strengthen the national economic landscape.

The Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton fits into the framework of the W Initiative, Access Bank's flagship program for women, which has been transforming the lives of African women entrepreneurs since 2019. Henceforth introduced in Cameroon, the program offers participants the tools, networks and opportunities needed to develop sustainable businesses. This year, 150 women entrepreneurs were selected to benefit from structured capacity building sessions, led by IFC, a member of World Bank Group, and supported by African Guarantee Fund (AGF).

The launch of Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton from Cameroon marks a historic milestone. For the first time, managed businesses by women in Cameroon will benefit from high-impact training, mentoring and financial grants, thus establishing a new reference in terms of entrepreneurial support in the country.

According to Ellis Nzo Asu, General Manager Access Bank Cameroon, “African women are not staying on the margins of the economy; they are supporting it. However, despite their immense contribution, access to investment and support remains limited. The W Initiative and Pitch-A-Ton are designed to change that. Grace to structured training, mentoring, and to direct access to funding, we enable these women to develop their businesses, to create jobs and to contribute significantly to the growth of Cameroon. When women rise, Cameroon rises.”

The General Manager Deputy, Ugochukwu Irechukwu, reaffirmed the bank's commitment to women's financial empowerment: “Access Bank is committed to provide women with resources, knowledge and access to finance needed to thrive. Pitch-A-Ton is more than a competition; it's a platform that connects women to a larger ecosystem of investors, mentors, and business partners, propelling them to lasting success. ”.
