Happy New Year 2019 for the Société ivoirienne de Banque (SIB). The subsidiary of Attijariwafa bank achieved a total balance sheet of 1,099 billion CFA francs (the equivalent of 1.7 billion euros), up 3% compared to 2019. The volume of customers increased by 5% and the bank's resources improved to 837 billion CFA francs, 7% more than in December 2018, making SIB the 3rd largest bank in the market on this aspect. Net employment, which totalled 776 billion CFA francs (1.2 billion euros) in 2019, rose by 10%, making sib the 4th largest financier of the Ivorian economy.
Net banking income increased by 9% to nearly 72 billion CFA francs. Profits thus mark an increase of 21%, crossing the 28 billion CFA francs mark. As for SIB's equity, it strengthened by 15% to reach 103 billion CFA francs. In addition, sib's "Impact 2023" development plan started last year with the conduct of 15 projects taking into account issues related to all types of customers, its organization and internal skills, not to mention the necessary developments resulting from the regulation of the sector. According to the MAP, it has thus seen the opening of the bank's first business center, the implementation of a new relationship model in branches, accompanied by a reprofiled increase for greater customer satisfaction, as well as the launch of new packages for the latter.
