Kenyan insurtech startup Lami has raised 3.7 million USD to expand its insurance offer in Africa. This seed funding was raised through a round led by Harlem Capital with the participation of many investors including Newtown Partners, Jay Weintraub of InsureTech Connect, Social Impact Capital among others.

Lami Technologies has just taken a new step that will allow it to expand its insurtech product across Africa. This new fundraising brings the total amount raised to 5.5 million USD after the 1.8 million USD raised last year. According to Jihan Abass, founder and CEO of Lami, this additional funding will be used for business development, product development and technology.
