Ac accra Conference Centre is hosting the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) today. Nearly 500 people, including experts, economists and about fifty journalists, will take part in this international meeting, which will continue until Friday.

Fostering Climate Resilience and a Just Energy Transition for Africa" is the main theme of this meeting according to AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina, participants will work on an annual report of the Board of Governors of the financial institution era, on its finances and activities. They must pass resolutions, make key decisions, and review the conclusions of annual meetings. The 50th anniversary of the African Development Fund, the institution's concessional financing window, will be celebrated during this meeting. Each of the AfDB's 81 member countries is represented by a Governor.
