Between 2021 and 2025, the West African Development Bank (BOAD) will support several development projects in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) to the tune of  3,300 billion CFA francs.

BOAD's Djoliba Strategic Plan 2021-2025 is aimed at five priority sectors: agriculture and food security, renewable energy, basic infrastructure, health, education and social housing. This funding concerns several dozen development projects.

Over the last six months, the bank has granted a total financing volume of 256.1 billion CFA francs for 24 projects in the WAEMU area. The beneficiary projects were in the sectors of finance and insurance, transport infrastructure, energy and sanitation, health and education, industry, and agriculture and rural development.

Based in Lomé, Togo, the WAEMU financial institution has embarked on a new dynamic that has raised €750 million to finance projects with a high social and environmental impact.
