At their summit, G7 member countries launched an $80 billion investment plan for the African private sector.

The Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) of the G7 countries, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have announced a significant commitment. This will involve mobilizing $80 billion for the private sector over the next five years to support economic recovery and sustainable growth in Africa.

Investment criteria are specific to each multilateral institution and align with a needs assessment to achieve the expected development impact. These different partners are aware that the private sector will play a major role in financing Africa's future by creating millions of jobs and wealth.
