A meeting was held on September 30, 2025 between representatives of the African private sector and Sidi Ould Tah, new president of the African Bank of development (BAD). The representatives of African private sector discussed during the session the possibilities for the establishment of a strategic and fruitful partnership with the financial institution.

The meeting between representatives of the sector African private sector with the President of the AfDB is a paradigm shift with the ADB, according to the president of the Groupement des Entreprises du Cameroun (GECAM), Célestin Tawamba. Support for African champions, access to financing, capacity building in the African private sector, guarantee mechanisms, support to national and regional banks were, among other topics, discussed during the meeting. The new president of the ADB and its hosts agreed to maintain a permanent dialogue and constructive. Meetings will be organized in the country offices of Bank Group to hear the concerns of local employers.

Faced with the concerns of His interlocutors, Sidi Ould Tah wanted to be reassuring. According to him, “in In the years to come, the role of the private sector will be important in the work of Bank Group”.
