Last Friday April 12, 2019 will be engraved in the annals of the Senegalese private sector. Jumia has become the first technology company from Africa to list on the New York Wall-Street Stock Exchange, the largest stock exchange in the world.

The information is contained in a note that the company sent to its customers and signed by the director of Jumia Senegal.

Through the document, Mr. Mohamed Hapte Sow believes that "it is an immense pride for us and we wish on the occasion of this historic moment to thank you for having made this possible".

Mr. Sow believes that this feat is credited to the community of consumers that has formed around the company.

To this, he adds the confidence placed in Jumia for the purchase of products and services but above all the fact of helping customers save time and save money, improving their daily lives at the same time.

For the boss of Jumia Senegal, this is a big step in the history of the company.

But, he says, this does not change the mission and values of this leader in online sales.
