On the occasion of the annual meeting of the African Development Bank held in Malabo (capital of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea), the President of BADEA (Arab Bank for the Economic Development of Africa), Mauritanian Sidi Ould TAH announced on Tuesday a significant financial contribution of $800 million to support Africa's development.

As part of its "2030 strategy" vision and Agenda 2063, which has just been adopted in Malabo, BADEA intends to move up a gear in partnership with FAO and the OPEC Fund to support Africa's development. BADEA supports the Solidarity Trust Fund for Africa to mitigate food crises.

This round table rich in commitments from international development and financing institutions took place in the International Conference Room of Sipopo de Malabo in the presence of the Presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Theodore OBIANG N'guema, Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz and Guinea Bissau.

Development banks and private sector institutions took part in the launch of the African Solidarity Trust Fund, a model of reliable and sustainable economic partnership and inclusion to boost African economies.

The Angolan Development Fund, the IDB, the AfDB, FAO, the France, China and the Republic of Zimbabwe and the State of Equatorial Guinea. Its President announced a financial contribution of $12 million to the African Solidarity Trust Fund.
