During a working visit to Mali, the president Nigerien, General Abdourahamane Tiani, confirmed the commissioning eminent member of the Confederal Investment and Development Bank (BCID-AES).

It marks a new stage in the process of economic and financial sovereignty of the block comprising Burkina Faso, the Mali and Niger. General Tiani recalled the advances made by the Confederation since its creation. These include common defense, joint force already operational with staff in Niamey, diplomacy coordinated and now, construction of a solid financial base. According to the President of Niger, “this dynamic is part of the project of sovereignty, prosperity and development driven by our peoples.”

LE Russian Minister of Energy, Sergei Tsivilev, announced the upcoming creation of intergovernmental commissions for commercial and economic cooperation with Burkina Faso and Niger. The objective is to finalize these structures by the end of 2025, after the one already implemented with Mali.
