The Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) supports the Energy Engineering Corporation (EIS) in its energy availability policy.

The AfDB has just awarded a grant of approximately DH 9 million (US$965,000) to THE EIS to support its transition to the first Super Energy Service Company (ESCO) initiative in Africa.
According to Ahmed Baroudi, CEO of THE EIS, this AfDB support " will operationalize the new EIS as a Super ESCO, creating a model that is well aligned with the needs of the country's energy efficiency sector."
SUPER ESCO are indeed vectors for channelling funds to energy efficiency investments in the public sector such as hospitals, schools and public lighting, laying the foundations for private investment later in the commercial and industrial sectors.
" As a Super ESCO, EIS should be able to overcome many of the challenges related to increasing investment in energy efficiency," the AfDB said.
