Speaking this Monday at the opening of the 1st edition of the International Conference on the Integration of Capital Markets in West Africa, Dr Edoh Kossi Amenounve (photo), CEO of the BRVM presented the situation of the Regional Stock Exchange des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM). According to the Togolese, at the end of June 2019, the stock exchange common to the 8 WAEMU countries had 46 listed companies. By way of illustration, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), ORAGROUP, BOAD, SONATEL. The institution, which is headquartered in Abidjan, has as many listed bond lines, but also 4 listed sukuks. Over the period, "271,724 securities were traded on a daily average and transactions estimated on a daily average at 548.6 million FCFA", he revealed. Kossi Amenounve was pleased with these results obtained over time: "the process required serious studies, the development of regulations in line with international standards, the development of a dynamic ecosystem that promotes supply and demand titles ".
