The Council of Ministers of the States of the Organization of African Petroleum Producing Countries (APPO) decided on November 6, 2022 an amount of 3,471,199 euros for the budget of the work programme of its Secretariat for the fiscal year 2023.

At the end of the 43rd session in Luanda, Angola, a large sum was withheld. This sum is expected mainly from member countries' contributions. According to a ministry document, “the Council of Ministers approved the report of the long-term strategy committee and the strategic implementation plan. There was also discussion of approving the Secretariat's 2023 work programme and the related budget, set at the sum of €3,471.199, mainly from contributions from member countries.”

Furthermore, according to the source, the caucus of these ministers from the various countries welcomed the progress made in the process of creating the African Bank of the ; energy in collaboration with Afreximbank, while calling on member countries to show their full support for its outbreak. According to the same council, these members are determined to continue to exploit their immense oil and gas resources for the economic emancipation of their respective peoples, with a vision on the exploration of renewable energies.
