The Ivorian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and the Promotion of SMEs has announced the introduction of uniforms from different regions of the country in the administration, every Friday.

At the presentation of the awards to the winners of the “A Chez Nou PI” competition, Assemian Yapo, technical advisor, representing the Minister of Commerce, announced that administrative officials will put aside Eacute; everything that is imported to be in “made in Ivory Coast” outfits. “Very soon, a project to institute the wearing of clothing made from local fabrics from our regions (will be adopted), in our administrations, every Friday,” he said. He continues: “this is a project and should have the approval of everyone”, he stressed, saying that “the objective is to get the Ivorian to consume locally and to be able to create the most jobs” and wealth through this productive sector and elicit vocations.
