The African Development Bank (ADB) announces an increase in fertilizer prices of more than 300%. An increasingly difficult situation for African farmers who will struggle to produce enough wheat, maize, rice, and other crops.

Production of wheat, maize, rice, and other food crops will decline due to difficulties faced by farmers. These difficulties are linked to the sharp increase in fertilizer prices, according to ADB president Akinwumi Adesina. Indeed, it did not take long for Russia's war in Ukraine to have an impact on Africa. Already struggling with rampant inflation and still recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, Africa is now facing a shortage of at least 30 million tons of food, especially wheat, corn, and soybeans imported from Russia and D&# 39; Ukraine.
