MIZ organizes from Monday 16 May to Friday 20 May 2022, a training in Cotonou, aimed at actors of the Beninese financial system. The objective is to strengthen their capacities on climate finance and clean energy.

The training aims first of all to strengthen the understanding, by financial actors, of the renewable energy sector and its importance for the populations. At the end of the training, several financial managers will be selected and admitted as trainers in the field of green financing. And they will have the mission to train other people in turn. According to Emilienne Tingwey, project director at the Germany-based Renewables Academy (RENAC), the aim of this training is to show the benefits of having renewable energy and energy efficiency in a country to fight climate change.
