The African Development Bank (BAD) and the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP)
signed an< agreement on Thursday, as part of the Forum of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRF), > $5.4 million to boost the fertilizer market in Nigeria and Tanzania.
Specifically, these two grant agreements are expected to enable the Fertilizer
in Africa, a mechanism of the BAD, to provide sustainable financial solutions to boost
fertilizer sectors in Africa, including the introduction of credit guarantees for the purchase of inputs.
AFAP will be the technical partner to implement the programmes in both countries for the
="fontstyle2">BAD. A two importers, 5 industrialists/mixers, 37 agro-trader hubs, 520 retailers and 700,000 small farmers
as final beneficiaries.
