Dalian iron ore futures rose slightly on Monday and are expected to record their first monthly increase in four months.

Les The most traded iron ore contracts in September on the Chinese commodity exchange in Dalian (DCE) ended the morning session up 0.21% to 715.5 yuan ($99.87) per metric ton. The contract has gained 1.71% so far in June. The reference price of iron ore in July on the Singapore Stock Exchange was down 0.16% to 94.4 dollars per ton at 03:46 GMT, down 1.3% since the beginning of the

month.

Other steel-making ingredients on DCE soared, with coking coal and coke up 1.14% and 0.82% respectively.
