Supported by an increase in interest income and cost control, the Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB), a subsidiary of the Moroccan group Attijariwafa Bank, published a net profit up 10% in the first quarter of 2025.

The financial statements provided by SIB indicate that the net profit was 13.6 billion FCFA (about 22.2 million dollars) at the end of March compared to 12.3 billion FCFA a year earlier. While the result of operating grew by 10%, to 15.8 billion FCFA, net banking income (PNB), the main income indicator, reached 26.5 billion FCFA, up 12% over one year. According to the institution, this performance is linked to rigorous management of expenses and a prudent approach to risk, in a context of growth in economic activity in Côte d'Ivoire, but still marked by regional economic uncertainties. According to the SIB, customer deposits increased by 6% to reach 1371 billion CFA francs, while outstanding loans fell slightly by 1%, reflecting a selective orientation of financing.
