While investors posted profits after a sustained rally and pressure from institutional investors looking to raise cash, gold prices fell today.

Spot gold was down 0.1% at $2,313.44 per ounce at 04:43 GMT, for the fourth consecutive session of decline. US gold futures fell by 0.3% to $2,326.10. Bullion prices have fallen by more than $100 since reaching an all-time high of $2,431.29 on April 12, and have fallen by more than 3% this week so far. Spot gold could retest the support at $2,295 per ounce as it has yet to break the resistance at $2,336

Spot silver fell 0.3% to $27.09 per ounce, spot platinum fell slightly by 0.1% to $901.60, and palladium lost 1% to $991.00.
