The Minister of Finance and Budget, Adama Coulibaly signed a loan agreement worth 10 billion CFA francs with the resident representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Côte d'Ivoire (JICA) with the resident representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Côte d'Ivoire, Wakabayashi Motoharu.

This signature marks an important milestone in the relationship between Côte d'Ivoire and Japan, strengthening their partnership in the field of maritime infrastructure development, essential for economic growth and the well-being of the Ivorian population. “The loan we are signing today, worth around 10 billion CFA francs, will be of paramount importance to complete the work on the Cereal Terminal. It will allow the latter to function optimally, thus guaranteeing an efficient flow of goods for the well-being of our population,” said Adama Coulibaly during the signing ceremony

For his part, Wakabayashi Motoharu praised the excellence of the cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and Japan. He stressed that this additional loan will make it possible to complete the dredging works, finalize the developments and provide the Port with a modern administrative tower, thus contributing to a more efficient operation of the cereal wharf
