Il s' est tenu le mardi 6 février dernier au Centre International de Conférence Abdou Diouf (Cicad) by Diamniadio, the international conference of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).

Held on the theme “the role of central banks in the face of climate change challenges”, the BCEAO international conference aims to build a resilient and sustainable financial system to face climate challenges. On the occasion, Prime Minister Amadou Ba indicated that “climate change presents very important challenges at the international level and particularly for the member states of the economic and monetary union”. According to the governor of the BCEAO, the problem of climate change transcends national borders. Its management requires sustained international cooperation between all Central Banks, but also with other stakeholders, including States, the banking and financial sector and development partners.
