Une information rendue publique le vendredi 2 février 2024 indique que le Bénin cherche à lever environ $750 million for its first bond issue denominated in US dollars.

L'opération prévue pour être lancée cette semaine a été procédée par un roadshow mené par des responsables béninois à Londres et à New York under the direction of the Minister of Finance. The announcement of the first issuance of bonds denominated in US dollars by Benin follows the recent successful issuance of a $2.6 billion eurobond by Côte d'Ivoire, which obtained an order book of $8 billion and an advantageous average interest rate of 6.61%
