) was published on Wednesday 27 September 2023, mentioning that Luxembourg has a solid framework for combating money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT) and a good understanding of its risks related to these two scourges.The FATF indicated in its report that the Luxembourg authorities were making good use of financial intelligence and cooperating effectively with their international counterparts. Its strong national coordination and cooperation on AML/CFT issues, both at political and operational levels, are its main assets. But the country needs to focus more on money laundering investigations and prosecutions, asset recovery, and surveillance of nonprofit organizations and certain non-financial sectors.
