The ordinary session held under the chairmanship of Serge EKUE, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President of the WADB authorized new commitments up to CFAF 73 billion.
The communiqué issued by the Bank indicates that the Board approved three (03) new project financing proposals for a total amount of CFAF 73 billion. These new BOAD commitments target Benin and Togo. The approved loans concern the partial financing of the ALEHERIDE-KPAZA-TCHAMBERI road development and asphalting project in the Togolese Republic for an amount of CFAF 28 billion. Also in favor of Togo, a loan of CFAF 25 billion was authorized for the construction of a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 42 MWp in Awandjélo in the Kara region of Togo.
For Benin, BOAD granted CFAF 20 billion to support the establishment and operation of a brewery complex and a can manufacturing line by COCA-COLA DONGA BOTTLING COMPANY SA in the industrial zone of Sèmè-Podji, Benin. These three new approvals bring to CFAF 6,918.8 billion the total commitments (all operations combined) of BOAD since the start of its operational activities in 1976.
