''The project, whose total cost is expected to be around 295 million dollars (174 billion FCFA), will be co-financed by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AECID), with additional funding notably from the Senegalese government and the private sector,” the World Bank said in a statement.
She points out that the project ''will also support the global initiative to combat marine pollution by improving the collection, transport, recycling and disposal of waste in several coastal cities (Dakar, Saint-Louis and Mbour, particular) as well as in urban centers located along the main rivers of the country, including Ziguinchor''.
