The Municipalities and United Cities of Cameroon (CVUC) and Afriland First Bank (AFB) signed a partnership agreement on Thursday, June 1, 2023. An agreement that will allow the financing of value-added projects carried out by city halls

The agreement between the Municipalities and United Cities of Cameroon (CVUC) and Afriland First Bank (AFB) aims to set up a set of mechanisms for the financial support of municipalities in the implementation of impact projects, vectors of the transformation of territories into “productive municipalities”, niches for creating wealth and social inclusion”. According to the managing director of Afriland First Bank, “the issue of local development is at the heart of our country's strategic agenda, set out by the SND30 (National Development Strategy by 2030,

NDLR)”.

According to the president of the CVUC, “municipalities that have value-added projects in the sectors of agriculture, livestock farming, fish farming and many others can now set them up with the technical supervision of the Municipalities and United Cities of Cameroon (CVUC) to be able to apply for credit lines that Afriland First Bank will provide For the D& regional development”.
