As part of the installation of the first production unit in the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone, the Minister of Economy and Finance Romuald WADAGNI and his colleague in charge of industry and trade Shadiya ASSOUMAN proceeded to a signing of this memorandum of understanding with Yasmeen JAWAHARALI COO M Auto electric mobility and Darren BROWN Director of the Company for Investment and Promotion of Industry (SIPI). It was last Wednesday, April 7th.

The signature for the creation of the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Company (VE) confirms the installation of the first processing unit within the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ), the result of a partnership between the Beninese government and Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms (Arise IIP), develop pan-African Special Economic Zones.
Through its investment of more than $20 million US, M-AUTO intends to create a production line of 1,000 motorcycles and 30 electric tricycles per day which, in time, will employ more than 1,500 Beninese men and women.
According to the Minister of Economy and Finance Romuald WADAGNI, the government is committed to supporting M Auto electric mobility in its installation process.
