The Sudan Transitional Military Council (TMC) and the Alliance for Freedom and
Change (ALC, opposition) signed the Political Declaration on Tuesday, a document that structures the period
of political transition. “The signing of this agreement is a historic moment for the Sudanese nation and
is the starting point of a new era of partnership,” said in a speech delivered afterwards
signed by Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, the vice-president of the CMT. He noted that this agreement was the fruit
of tiring and continuous work, long awaited by the Sudanese people, who can finally enjoy freedom and justice.
