On Monday, January 26, Mark Cables, a band industrialist based in Dubai, announced the completion of the construction of a thermal power plant with a capacity of 200 megawatts (MW) in Burkina Faso.

The project to build a power plant Thermal aims to improve the electrification rate, which is currently to about 34.2%, and to reduce the country's dependence on energy imports. The industrial group indicated that the development of this project, including the cost is estimated at 180 million euros (213 million dollars), was completed in only six months. For the company, the new power plant will support government efforts to stabilize the network and reduce the dependence on energy imports.
