During the ceremony to hand over the results of the Employment4Youth project, coupled with the 4th Steering Committee meeting (COPIL) held on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, the UNIDO Resident Representative in Côte d'Ivoire Ivory Coast, Tidiane Boye announced that Côte d'Ivoire has developed its strategy national promotion of Industry 4.0.

Ivory Coast has taken an important step forward. En Indeed, the national strategy to promote Industry 4.0 is the result of a in-depth diagnosis and concerted work between public and private actors. It is part of the Employment4Youth project, according to a note of information.

According to the Director General of Industry at Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Emmanuel Tra Bi who greets this advanced, “Côte d'Ivoire is one of the few African countries to have such a strategy. It is on the government's agenda and will soon be adopted.”

It indicates that this document will guide the industrial and digital transformation of the country. It will serve as a framework for reference for all initiatives related to Industry 4.0, in addition other national policies, in particular in the digital field.

The Employment4Youth project is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). He is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization. The financing is provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and development (BMZ).

Tidiane Boye, reviewed the project “Employment4Youth”, announcing the creation of 27,000 digital jobs in the framework of this initiative. In addition to jobs, 25 Ivorian companies supported, including 20 in agro-industry and five digital startups have benefited from a maturity diagnosis and support targeted for the adoption of innovative technological solutions, thus consolidating the foundations for a more competitive and inclusive industrialization.
