At the end of an audience with the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara on 20 November 2022, the President of the IDB Group, Dr Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser reaffirmed his support and his availability to accompany Côte d'Ivoire in its evolution. Côte d'Ivoire can thus rely on the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) on the path to progress and prosperity.

The IDB group has nearly 56 projects under development in Côte d'Ivoire in impact sectors including health, education and infrastructure, according to its president. According to him, “it was a pleasure for me to meet the President of the Republic, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, who is a former colleague with whom I had the opportunity to work when he was at the International Monetary Fund. We discussed cooperation between the Islamic Development Bank and Côte d'Ivoire. The prospects are good.”

In addition, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser estimates that the IDB's commitment to a disbursement of around $2.1 billion to finance the National Development Plan (PND) 2021-2025 is being implemented.
