He was also found guilty of identity theft and embezzlement.
This serial hacker posed as a certain Lisa, official representative of Facebook and WhatsApp, originally from the United States. He would thus have succeeded in embezzling more than 407,000 naira, the equivalent of just under 1,000 euros.
The accused pleaded not guilty before finally changing his mind during the trial. He also agreed to reimburse his victim before being sentenced to one year in prison without bail.
