Last December, the Board of Directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has approved financing exceptional of around 201 billion CFA francs, or 1.365 billion dollars. Ce funding granted to the Beninese State aims to support the project of reconstruction and modernization of the Godomey—Ouidah—Hillacondji road.

Benin confirmed its status as a “good student” with international donors. The challenge for the IDB is significant.
