LIBREVILLE, January 14 (Infosplusgabon) - According to Financial Afrik, the Coface group, announces the appointment of Lionel Piqquer as Managing Director of North Africa, West and Central Africa. He will report to Cécile Paillard, General Manager of the Mediterranean and Africa Region and member of the Executive Committee of the Coface Group.

His main mission will be to continue and accelerate the transformation of the entities within his geographical scope, in line with the "Build to Lead" strategic plan initiated by the Group in 2020.

This transformation aims to strengthen the Group's position as a reference in credit insurance and its complementary businesses, but also to improve its commercial and operational efficiency while developing new opportunities for sustainable growth.

Before joining Coface, Lionel PIQUER, 42, was Managing Director of the BNP Paribas Leasing subsidiary in Romania. In particular, he successfully completed the acquisition and integration of two companies, as well as the launch of the 1st Shared Services Center for the Leasing Business, in Bucharest. He joined the BNP Paribas group in 2004 and has held various positions of responsibility within several business lines, in the Commercial, Financial and Organization departments.

A graduate of the CESB/CESA Management of HEC Paris and of the Ecole Supérieure de la Banque, Lionel also holds a Masters in Finance Audit (DEFC) from INTEC – CNAM. He is based in Casablanca, Morocco. (Source Financial Africa).
