Fintech Flutterwave has just raised $170 million to support its growth in Africa and internationally. The payments company will invest this new capital to execute its ambitious growth strategy in Africa and internationally.

Flutterwave intends to improve its technology, products and services and also expand to new frontiers by attracting new customers to existing and international markets. The fintech now valued at more than $1 billion will strengthen its payment solutions on the continent and beyond.
This fundraising comes at a time when the covid-19 pandemic has strengthened the use of digital payments on the continent. The US-based fintech estimates that this digital adoption has contributed to an exceptional revenue growth of 226% (compound annual growth rate) between 2018 and 2020.
